Contributing to our center’s mission, the CHIPTS Conference Scholarship Program is to provide opportunities and support for early-career investigators, students (e.g. graduate-level, pre- and post-doctoral students), and community advocates/researchers to attend HIV-related conferences in efforts to promote science, foster networking, and increase capacity building. There is a limited number of scholarships available based on funding availability with certain restrictions applied.
We are excited to offer scholarships to cover the cost of registration for individuals to attend the conferences: Adherence 2021 and the US Conference on HIV/AIDS (USCHA). The application deadline is on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.
To be eligible, candidates:
- Must be considered an early-career investigator, student (e.g. graduate, pre- or post-doctoral), or a community advocate/researcher in the field of HIV
- Must be recommended and sponsored by a CHIPTS faculty member
- Must attend a CHIPTS meeting to share what they learned and to write a written summary of their gained experience
Priority will be given to those who have not received scholarship funds from CHIPTS within the last 12 months and who have an HIV-related oral/poster presentation or workshop accepted at the conference. The scholarship covers only the registration fee for the conference which will be provided as a reimbursement.
