Training

A part of  CHIPTS’ mission is to create opportunities for scientific leadership, expertise, and infrastructure to be leveraged to create, understand, and evaluate research agendas that integrate behavioral, biomedical, and technological intervention strategies. One way that we do this is by continuing the training and mentoring of emerging investigators. CHIPTS promotes cutting edge science, networks, and builds capacity of scientists, advocates, policy makers, and consumers.  CHIPTS faculty are leading and are involved in four major training programs, including:

• The Fogarty HIV Research Training Program
• UCLA South American Program in HIV Prevention Research Program (SAPHIR)
