Designing Semi-Structured Interview Guides for Implementation Research

December 21, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Dear colleagues,

The UCLA Rapid, Rigorous, Relevant (3R) Implementation Science Hub invites you to join an upcoming methods workshop on Designing Semi-Structured Interview Guides for Implementation Research coming up on Wednesday, December 21, from 12-1:30 PM PT.

Qualitative interviewing is a critical tool in implementation research and practice, and the quality and utility of resulting data depends in large part on the interview guide. In this workshop, Drs. Alison Hamilton and Erin Finley will:

  • Review the value of qualitative interviews in dissemination and implementation (D&I) science.
  • Discuss how to design interview guides using constructs from D&I models and frameworks.
  • Share approaches for prioritizing questions to achieve project goals.
  • Highlight common interview challenges and strategies for addressing them, including how to orient qualitative teams to the consistent application of interview guides.

Please feel free to share this opportunity with your colleagues, students, and community partners. A flyer is attached.
