Dear colleagues,

CHIPTS is working with the LA County Department of Public Health’s Division of HIV & STD Programs and the HHS Prevention through Active Community Engagement program on efforts with future health professionals to raise awareness about HIV and the impact it has on our communities, and to recruit a future workforce that is knowledgeable and passionate about the work. As part of these efforts, we are co-hosting a webinar entitled Your Role in Ending the HIV Epidemic on April 20, 2022, from 11:00am PT to 12:30pm PT.

This career development webinar will focus on students pursuing clinical roles, such as nursing professionals (RNs, LVNs, NPs, etc.), physicians, physician assistants, medical assistants, dentists, pharmacists, and anyone else who might be interested in this sector of the field.

By the end of this webinar, students will be able to:

  • Describe current data and trends of the HIV and STI epidemics nationally and in Los Angeles.
  • Describe theEnding the HIV Epidemic in the US initiative.
  • Explain the role of health professionals to address missed opportunities and help end the HIV epidemic.
  • Identify career paths and opportunities for future health professionals interested in the HIV field.
