Dear Colleagues – CHIPTS is pleased to invite you to a virtual seminar entitled “Why Is It So Hard to Get People Housed in Los Angeles County?” on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM PT. Find more information below and attached.
During this session, our featured panelists will discuss challenges with housing in Los Angeles County especially for key populations. The objectives of this meeting are to:
- Provide an overview of the current housing system in Los Angeles County
- Understand the challenges that exacerbate the housing crisis particularly among individuals living with HIV and/or substance use and/or mental health disorders
- Examine opportunities and current best practices for addressing the housing crisis
We welcome attendees interested in working to provide access to housing, including but not limited to CBO staff, social services providers, HIV providers, mental health and substance use providers and academic researchers.
