The Methods Core offers consultations in the following areas:
- Analytic strategy of multiple endpoints that are common in studies of HIV-associated comorbidities
- Expertise in HIV statistics regarding biomarkers and biomedical interventions
- Implementation Science
- Social media and mobile technology application to HIV prevention research
- The intersection of technology and implementation science to address HIV intervention delivery in real-world settings

The Combination Prevention Core offers consultations in the following areas:
- Advise design and conduct of combination HIV prevention research
- Guide study of substance use and mental health in the context of HIV prevention trials and projects
- Provide peer review services for manuscripts, grants, local HIV prevention service funding opportunities
- Adapt domestic HIV prevention strategies for use in foreign settings and adaptation of foreign HIV prevention strategies to guide domestic approaches
- Advise and train cultural competence for research and intervention with stigmatized communities, especially MSM, transgender individuals and those with substance use and mental health disorders
- Conduct community education and workforce training
- Mentor students and faculty
- Facilitate linkages between community members interested in HIV prevention research and ongoing research opportunities

The Policy Impact Core offers consultations in the following areas:
- Integrate policy issues into CHIPTS research agendas
- Expertise in analyzing insurance claims and encounter data and in using CEA
- Fill gaps in other research agendas, including PRC and government partners
- Assist government partners in assessing long run effects of policy initiatives
- Assist in identifying problems amenable to policy solutions
- Disseminate policy findings
- Conduct cost-effectiveness and behavioral economics training
- Support community partners in communicating the evidence base for various policy solutions to policy makers, who may or may not adopt an evidence-based policy to address the problem.
