Description

Background:
This scale was developed as a basic screening measure for depression in older adults. To be completed by a trained clinician.

Reliability:
Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.84 (Brinl, 1982)

Internal consistency reliability was .89 (alpha), and the test-retest reliability was .85 (alpha). (Chan, 1996)
