Municipalities Learning from Each Other: Strategic Implementation of Universal Antiretroviral Treatment to Maximize Reductions in HIV Incidence
The Urban Coalition for HIV/AIDS Prevention Services (UCHAPS) and the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), in cooperation with the American Bar Association (ABA) AIDS Coordinating Committee, would like to invite you to participate in a one-day conference preceding the International AIDS Society (IAS) meeting this July in Washington, DC.
The preconference, entitled, Municipalities Learning from Each Other: Strategic Implementation of Universal Antiretroviral Treatment to Maximize Reductions in HIV Incidence, will serve as a unique opportunity for jurisdictions highly impacted by HIV to learn from each other and to learn from the most advanced thinkers in HIV prevention around the world. Academic, government and community public health leaders will come together to strategize regarding best practices in scaling up antiretroviral therapy for both individual and public health benefit within their home communities.
The conference will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Renaissance Hotel in Washington, DC. The primary audience for this conference includes public health leaders (academic, governmental and community), treatment providers, prevention partners, scientists, policy-makers, executive directors and program directors.
This is a free event. However, due to space limitations, registration is required and places will be awarded on a first come first served basis.
