CHIPTS Global HIV Interest Group Meeting
Date(s) - Apr 22, 2014
12:00 AM - 12:00 AM

UCLA is forming a Global HIV Interest Group for the purpose of bringing together faculty, fellows, students, and others from UCLA, affiliated institutions, and the greater Los Angeles community who are interested in international HIV research, capacity building, policy, and related work. The Interest Group will be co-hosted by:
- Center for HIV Identification, Prevention and Treatment Services (CHIPTS)
- UCLA AIDS Institute/Center for AIDS Research (CFAR)
- UCLA Center for World Health (CWH)
The Global HIV Interest Group will be an opportunity to share the work you are doing, learn about the programs and projects that others are working on, network and build relationships, and collaborate on funding opportunities. There will be time at each meeting for presentations, as well as for open discussion and development of ideas. We envision that the Interest Group will meet 4-6 times per year.
Tuesday, April 22nd
12:00 – 1:30 PM
UCLA Center for Health Sciences Building (CHS)
Bel Air Conference Room (CHS 17-323)
Presenters for this meeting will be John Hamilton, Laurie Bruns, and Mushambi Mutuma, who will be discussing UCLA’s HIV programs in Malawi and South Africa. All three live and work in Africa, and will be back at UCLA that week.
