2012 Health Education Practice Conference

Health Education Administration and the Public Health Education Collaborative invite you to attend the 2nd annual Health Education Practice Conference. The conference will take place on Wednesday, October 17th, during National Health Education Week. This year’s theme is “Adolescent Health: Planting Seeds for a Healthier Generation.”
The conference will highlight emerging health issues related to adolescent health, including school- based health centers, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) issues, HIV/STD prevention, and injury and violence prevention. The conference will also recognize the achievements of the health education workforce in the Departments of Public Health and Health Services. Keynote remarks will be made by Dr. Jonathan E. Fielding, MD, MPH, Director of Public Health and Health Officer for the LA County Department of Public Health. The event will also feature a panel discussion, presentations and awards. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
The conference is open to anyone with an interest in health education. We highly recommended this conference for health educators, providers working with young adults, child welfare professionals, program directors, clinical directors, supervisors, advocates, and policy makers.
The non-refundable cost is $25 for Early Bird Special before October 1st or $35 after October 1st. Fee pays for registration, CEUs, continental breakfast, lunch and materials.
