2012 Health Education Practice Conference (764)

Health Education Administration and the Public Health Education Collaborative invite you to attend the 2nd annual Health Education Practice Conference. The conference will take place on Wednesday, October 17th, during National Health Education Week. This year’s theme is “Adolescent Health: Planting Seeds for a Healthier Generation.”

The conference will highlight emerging health issues related to adolescent health, including school- based health centers, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) issues, HIV/STD prevention, and injury and violence prevention. The conference will also recognize the achievements of the health education workforce in the Departments of Public Health and Health Services.  Keynote remarks will be made by Dr. Jonathan E. Fielding, MD, MPH, Director of Public Health and Health Officer for the LA County Department of Public Health. The event will also feature a panel discussion, presentations and awards.
