Research & Interest

Dr. Comulada is a Senior Statistician at the UCLA Semel Institute, Center for Community Health.  His expertise is in the area of the analysis of longitudinal data, Bayesian data analysis, and sample size determination.  In addition to serving as the statistician on several large NIMH-funded mutli-center behavioral intervention trials, Dr. Comulada provides consultations and oral presentations for researchers at the Center for Community Health to further their understanding of statistics.  Currently, he’s working on a manuscript to develop better ways to analyze longitudinal substance use data which usually contain a lot of zeros due to non-users.
